El Reino de No Me Importa/Kingdom does not matter to me

Kingdom does not matter to me
Once upon a time there was a small kingdom called Lolinburg. King Juan No, married the princess Cristina Me Importa. From that union was born Prince José No Me Importa. The King was called Juan Because I liked it and the Queen was called Cristina Because I get the Ghana.
Both kings and subjects did what they pleased when they wanted and nothing mattered.
The kingdom was very dirty as all its inhabitants threw the garbage into the street because they felt like it. It was difficult to walk the sidewalks between food and junk but no one cared.
The inhabitants bathed whenever they liked, but as no one cared, they were all ragged and with a very bad smell. They were always sick.
At school. Students attended classes only when they felt like it and studied only if they liked, and because the principal and the teachers did not care, the students were stupid and ignorant.
The traders attended when they felt like it and sold what they wanted. If someone wanted to buy potatoes and they did not feel like selling it, people had to buy mandarins or whatever they found.
The subjects of Lolinburg slept when they pleased, sometimes at night and sometimes in the daytime, and they ate when they pleased. They ate breakfast at night and dined at noon and they did not care.
So the Kingdom of Lolinburg was a disaster.
When Prince Joseph grew up, he fell in love with the princess Beatriz Si Me Importa of the kingdom of Merynburgo.
Beatriz was a very beautiful young woman with long golden hair, and she cared about everything. He cared about order and cleanliness. He cared about the culture and education of his people. If he wanted to eat potatoes he pretended to be sold potatoes. Beatriz had many suitors who wanted to fall in love offering expensive gifts.
Prince Joseph knew that it would be impossible to conquer her by offering him the Kingdom of Lolinburgh, a dirty and disordered kingdom, and decided to ask Beatrice to help change the horrible customs of her subjects.
As Beatriz was very intelligent she decided to help him. He proposed that he make very strict laws and penalties for those who did not comply with them.
Strict timetables in schools. The children were obliged to attend. Clean and with the tasks and tools ordered. Otherwise parents would be severely punished. The garbage should be placed in garbage dumps, no waste to the sidewalk. Where there used to be garbage, they had to plant trees and flowers.
Strict hours for merchants and workers, so they would not sleep when they had to work and not work when they needed to sleep.
Traders had to open at stipulated times and sell what was asked of them and not what they wanted.
At first it was very difficult to adapt the inhabitants to the new rules of urbanity, but soon all saw the advantages of them.
Thanks to the cleanliness there were less diseases, the streets now had flowers instead of trash and everyone enjoyed the changes.
The children learned to read quickly.
The merchants made a lot of money selling more and better pleasing their clientele .. All the subjects of Lolinburgh were happy.
The only one who was not completely happy was Joseph. He was still in love with Beatrice. Now that he had a beautiful kingdom to offer him, he decided to ask for his hand.
Beatrice If it matters to me, I hoped that this moment arrived, the blue eyes of Jose fell in love and his desires of progress for his town. He did not take long to say yes.
They married in the Square of Lolinburg, in the presence of all the inhabitants, who celebrated the wedding with a celebration that lasted seven days.

Jose and Beatriz had six children and lived happily.

  • ¿No podrías ayudarnos?
  • ¡No!
¿Porqué no?
¿Me llevarías contigo?
  • ¿A mi? -preguntó, llevándose una mano al pecho.
  • Sí, sí -dijo el viejito-, a ti. Ven conmigo, súbete a mi vote y rema conmigo, yo te salvo.

The Isle of Emotions

There was once an island where all the emotions and all the human feelings that existed. They lived, of course, the Fear, the Wisdom, the Love, the Anguish, the Envy, the Hate. They were all there. Despite the natural frictions of coexistence, life was extremely calm and even predictable. Sometimes the Routine made the Boredom fall asleep, or the Impulse created some scandal, but many times the Constancy and the Convenience managed to quiet the Discontent. One day, unexpectedly for all the inhabitants of the island, Knowledge called a meeting. When the Distraction took notice and the Sloth arrived at the meeting place, all were present.
Then Knowledge said:

I have bad news to give them: the island sinks.
All the emotions that lived on the island said:

No, how can it be! If we have lived here forever!
Knowledge repeated:

The island sinks.
But can not be! Maybe you're wrong!
Knowledge is almost never wrong, "Consciousness realized the truth. If he says it sinks, it must be because it sinkssinks, it must be because it sinks.
But what are we going to do now? Asked the others.
Then Knowledge answered:

Of course, everyone can do what they want, but I suggest that they look for ways to leave the island ... Build a boat, a boat, a raft or something that will allow them to leave, because anyone who stays on the island will disappear with it .
Could not you help us? They all asked, because they trusted in their ability.
"No," said the Knowledge, "the Foresight and I have built an airplane and as soon as I finish telling you this, we will fly to the nearest island.
Emotions said:

Do not! But no! What will become of us?
Having said that, Knowledge got on the plane with his partner, and carrying the Fear of the Fear, which, as no fool had hidden in the engine, left the island.

All the emotions, in fact, were dedicated to build a boat, a boat, a sailboat ... All ... except Love.isla-corazon-10

Because Love was so closely related to every single thing on the island that he said,

Leave this island ... after all that lived here ... How could I leave this little tree, for example? Ahh ... we share so many things ...
And while the emotions were dedicated to making the way to leave, Love climbed every tree, smelled every rose, went to the beach and rolled in the sand as it used to in ancient times. He touched each stone ... and caressed each branch ...

When he reached the beach, exactly where the sun was rising, his favorite place, he .wanted to think with that naivety that love has:

Maybe the island will sink for a little while ... and then it will revive ... Why not?
And he stayed for days and days measuring the height of the tide to check if the sinking process was not reversible ...

The island was sinking more and more ...

However, Love could not think of building, because he was so sore that he was only able to cry and moan for what he would lose.

It occurred to him then that the island was very large, and that even when it sank a little, he could always take refuge in the highest zone ... Anything was better than having to leave. A small resignation had never been a problem for him.

So, once again, he touched the pebbles on the shore ... and crawled on the sand ... and again wet his feet on the little beach that once was huge ...

Then, not realizing too much of his resignation, he walked to the northern part of the island, which although he was not the one that liked the most, was the highest ...

And the island was sinking every day a little more ...

And Love took refuge every day in a smaller space ...

After so many things we spent together ... "he reproached the island.
Until, finally, only a tiny portion of solid ground remained; The rest had been completely covered by water.Just then, Love realized that the island was really sinking. He realized that if he did not leave the island, love would disappear forever from the face of the Earth ...

Walking between waterlogged paths and jumping huge puddles of water, Love went to the bay.

There was no chance of building a way out like everyone else's; He had lost too much time in denying what he lost and in crying what gradually disappeared before his eyes.

From there he could see his companions passing by on the boats. He hoped to explain his situation and that some of his companions understood and took him.

Watching the sea, he saw the ship of Wealth come and beckoned. Wealth approached the bay a little.

Wealth, you who have such a large ship, would not you take me to the neighboring island? I suffered so much the disappearance of this island that I could not make a boat ...
And Wealth answered him:

I'm so full of money, jewels and precious stones, that I have no place for you, I'm sorry ... "And he went on without looking back.
Love continued to watch, and saw theVanity in a beautiful ship, full of ornaments, caireles, marbles and flowers of all colors. Vanity ... Vanity ... Take me with you! Vanity looked at Love and said: I would love to take you, but ... You have a look! ... You are so disgusting ... so dirty And so scruffy! ... Sorry, but I think that you would frighten my boat - and it went away. And thus, Love asked for each one of the emotions. To Constancy, to Serenity, to Jealousy, to Indignation and even to Hate. And when he thought that no one else would pass, he saw a very small ship approaching, the last one, the one of Sorrow. "Sister, sister," he said, "you who know me so much, you would not leave me here, you are as sensitive as I am ..." Would you take me with you? "And the Sorrow answered him: I would take you, I assure you, but I am soooo sad ... I prefer to be alone. And, without saying more, he went away. And Love, poor thing, he realized that because he had stayed connected to those things that he loved so much, he and the island were going to hunger in the sea until disappearing. The last bit left of his island to wait for the end ... Suddenly Love heard someone chirping: Chst-chst-chst ... It was an unknown old man beckoning from a rowboat. Love was surprised: Me? He asked, putting his hand to his chest. "Yes, yes," said the old man, "to you. Come with me, come to my vote and roam with me, I'll save you. Boat Love looked at him and wanted to explain: What happened was that I stayed ... I understand, said the old man without letting him finish the sentence, "rises. Boat and together they started to row to get away from the island. It was not long before I saw how the last centimeter that was afloat ended up sinking and the island disappeared forever. There will never be an island like this again, "Amor murmured, perhaps hoping the old man would contradict him and give him some hope "No," said the old man, "like this one, none." When they reached the neighboring island, Love realized that he was still alive. He realized that he was going to continue to exist. He shifted on his feet to thank the old man, but he, without saying a word, had left mysteriously as he had appeared. Then the Love, very intrigued, went in search of Wisdom for Ask: How could it be? I did not know him and he saved me ... No one understood that I would have been without a boat, but he helped me, he saved me and I do not even know who he is ... Wisdom looked him in the eyes for a long time and said: He is the only one Able to make love survive when the pain of a loss makes you believe that it is impossible to go forward. The only one capable of giving a new opportunity to love when it seems to be extinguished. The one who saved you, Amor, is Tiempo.Jorge Bucay
